6th World Traditional Wushu Championship

The South African Wushu Federation sent a team of 19 Proteas to represent South Africa at the 6th World Traditional Wushu Championship in Chizhou City, Anhui Province, China. The Championship, which was held from the 23rd to the 29th October 2014, was highly successful with approximately 45 countries participating. The team brought back 2 silver and 12 bronze medals making it a truly successful championship for South Africa.

This professional and highly successful Championship was hosted by the International Wushu Federation (a member of the IOC and SportAccord) and the Chinese Wushu Association, and was organised by the Sports Administration of the Anhui Province, Tourism Bureau of Anhui Province and the Municipal People’s Government of Chizhou City.
